Morton’s Steakhouse Happy Hour – Georgetown

Apple Martini

Mortons Georgetown HH
Tucked away on Georgetown’s Prospect Street just off of Wisconsin, you’ll find a Morton’s Steakhouse.   Although known for steaks and giant sides, we joined them this time for Happy Hour, or as Morton’s calls it, Power Hour.  The Georgetown location offers specials in the bar including items ranging Tuna Tostada to Petite Filet Mignon Sandwiches.

The décor is a modern take on art deco with updated crystal lighting fixtures mixed with subtle blacks and silver.

The menu also offered specials on cocktails, wine and beer.  We opted for an Apple Martini from the happy hour menu, but then moved to drinks not offered at happy hour prices.  The wine menu offered many bottles suitable for steak or seafood as well as several good wines served by the glass.

The service was great included prompt delivery of our food, keeping our waters refreshed and making suggestions from the menu, despite the bar area becoming quite full.

Prices during the Happy Hour were very reasonable with their “Bar Bites” starting from just $6.

  • Petite Filet Mignon Sandwiches:  Four petite sandwiches served with a mustard mayonnaise.
  • Filet Mignon Trio:  3 miniature filets each one topped with a separate sauces including classic Béarnaise, Blue Cheese Butter and Sauce au Poivre.
  • Blue Cheese Steak Fries:  Steak Fries with Blue Cheese topping

Other Food Offerings:

  • Prime Ribeye Steak Sandwich:  A delicious steak sandwich loaded with sautéed onions and mushrooms
  • Morton’s Prime Burger:  A burger with topping choices and fries.
