Bienvenue:

A trip to Versailles is a much loved day trip from Paris, but the truth is that you can easily spend two days or more in this wonderful location.  If you have extra time, we recommend a short trip to the Palace and gardens of Versailles.

Consider staying at the Trianon Palace Versailles, a Waldorf Astoria Collection Hotel.  It is a beautiful sanctuary, not far from Paris and is perfect for a relaxing break from the city.  It’s an easy trip that is just a 30 minute drive or a bit longer on the RER.

This hotel is fantastically luxurious and is located just outside of the Palace of Versailles gates.  Envelop yourself in luxury and stay here for a weekend or perhaps a few days during the week.

Insider Tips:

  • Buy your tickets to the Palace in advance from the concierge and use the Access by the Queen’s gate to enter the palace gardens.  You’ll feel like you have your own private palace entrance with its close proximity to the hotel.
  • Enjoy local restaurants in the charming town of Versailles.  Don’t forget to take in a dinner at the Gordon Ramsay restaurant in the hotel.
  • Stroll along the beautiful streets just outside the hotel.
  • This is also a great place to stay before a trip to the countryside.

Décor:

From the moment you arrive, you will see the hotel’s grandeur.  The gravel outside that meets the beautiful architecture takes you back to a time when ornate architecture was common.  Black and white tile and a myriad of velvet furniture add elegance to the entryway.  Columns and windows abound with restaurants and bars just off the grand hall.
